Barry Z. Goldstein brings over 40 years of experience to the firm of Cahn & Parra, concentrating his practice in the areas of workers’ compensation, personal injury and family law. Barry is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School. He is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States. In 2023, Barry retired from the law practice but continues to consult in matters with workers’ compensation, personal injury and family law.

Prior to joining the firm of Cahn & Parra, Mr. Goldstein headed the matrimonial department at Schneider, Goldberger, Cohen, Finn, Solomon, Leder and Montalbano in Kenilworth, New Jersey where he handled hundreds of matrimonial matters, including complicated issues relating to custody and child abuse. He has also been involved in cases which have presented new and novel issues to the court including a landmark gender change case.

Mr. Goldstein, for more than 40 years, has been practicing in the area of workers’ compensation. He is well recognized by his peers as a leader in this area.

Mr. Goldstein has successfully pursued intricate work place exposure matters on behalf of numerous employees who were exposed to asbestos and other toxic chemicals in their employment and has obtained many successful results for severely injured workers.

Mr. Goldstein is a former board of education attorney for Union Township and has served as assistant township attorney for the City of Union.

Mr. Goldstein has lectured on many occasions on the subject of workers’ compensation and has been an advisor to labor unions on safety and legal procedures for union members.

Mr. Goldstein has extensive experience in civil litigation and has tried cases involving personal injury, work place injuries, motor vehicle violations, license suspensions, unlawful discharge, employee reprimand, child custody and divorce.
